ABOUT DR. LORETO
Dr. Loreto’s academic and professional journey is marked by a commitment to excellence in the field of physical therapy. He embarked on his path at Loma Linda University, where he successfully completed the rigorous Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2011. Since then, his career has been characterized by a dedication to orthopedics and sports medicine, honed through years of practice in a private clinical setting, commencing in 2002.
Driven by an unwavering desire to advance the field of physical therapy, Dr. Loreto embarked on an academic pursuit that brought him back to Loma Linda University. There, he undertook the formidable challenge of earning a PhD in Physical Therapy. This advanced degree represents his dedication to the betterment of the profession, particularly in the realms of human movement science and health. His current research endeavors have borne promising fruit, as he has two manuscripts pending publication. These manuscripts delve into critical areas of study, exploring topics such as the effects of cervical spine mobilization versus manipulation on pain, disability, satisfaction and biomarkers in individuals with non-specific mechanical neck pain. These studies stand as testament to Dr. Loreto’s commitment to advancing the scientific understanding of physical therapy, ultimately striving to improve the lives of those under his care.
Within the realm of physical therapy, Dr. Loreto has cultivated a diverse and specialized skill set. His expertise encompasses vestibular rehabilitation, sports medicine, and spinal manual therapy. Notably, he augmented his knowledge through participation in seminars at USC, where he had the privilege of learning from renowned experts such as Dr. Peter Gibbons, Dr. Philip Tehan, and Dr. Stuart McGill. These educational endeavors have enriched his proficiency and elevated his capacity to provide comprehensive care to his patients.
Furthermore, Dr. Loreto’s passion for sharing knowledge and fostering the growth of future physical therapy professionals is evident through his role as a guest lecturer for the Post-Professional Masters in Physical Therapy students at his alma mater, Loma Linda University. His dedication to education extended to achieving Clinical Instructor Credentialing from the APTA in 2013, empowering him to enhance the clinical experiences of physical therapy students during their rotations.
In addition to his clinical and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Loreto possesses fluency in Spanish, broadening his ability to connect with and serve a diverse patient population.
